Professional catcher that was signed by the New York Yankees as an international free agent in 2012. He was acquired by the Seattle Mariners via trade on August 30, 2020.

He began his professional career playing for the Yankees' rookie affiliate team the Gulf Coast League Yankees.

He made his major league debut playing against the Los Angeles Dodgers on April 3, 2017 as a member of the San Diego Padres .

He is a native of Valencia, Venezuela.
