ABOUT LUIS ROBERTO

Brazilian journalist who is known for his sports commentary. Focusing mainly on the World Cup, he has also earned several awards for his work in journalism including the Flamengo no Carioca in 2000, 2001, and 2007.

He earned his degree in journalism from UniSantos. He began his career in journalism with the Rede Globo network in Rio de Janeiro. His first World Cup coverage was in France in 1998.

He is known for having created the SporTV Writing Program in 2004 and worked as an editor and presenter for them until 2009.

He was born in Sao Joao da Boa Vista, Sao Paulo and moved to Campinas at the age of three where he was raised.

He shared a photo with professional football player Leovegildo Lins Gama Junior at the Rede Globo network to his Instagram in September of 2018.
