ABOUT LUIS ANGEL GIL

Right-handed starting pitcher that was first signed by the Minnesota Twins as an international free agent in 2015. He was later acquired by the New York Yankees via trade in March 2018.

He initially began his professional career playing for the DSL Twins. He was only 17 years old when he began his professional career.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Baltimore Orioles on August 3, 2021. He pitched six innings and collected six strikeouts.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Azua, Dominican Republic.

He recorded his first MLB strikeout facing Ramón Urías .
