He began his professional career playing for the Astros' rookie affiliate team the DSL Astros.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Los Angeles Angels on September 4, 2020.

He is a native of Bolivar, Venezuela.

He played alongside Carlos Correa during the 2021 MLB season.
