ABOUT LUIS AMADO GARCíA

Veteran reliever that was first signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers as an international free agent in 2004. He was later signed by the San Diego Padres in December 2021. During his career, he has also pitched in the Philadelphia Phillies , New York Yankees , St. Louis Cardinals , Texas Rangers , Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Angels organizations.

He initially began his professional career playing for the DSL Dodgers. He was a teenager at the time.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Nationals on July 10, 2013 as a member of the Phillies. He recorded six straight scoreless appearances to begin his MLB career.

He is a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

He was once packaged in a trade that included Ronnie Belliard .
