ABOUT LEVI CELERIO

Filipino composer who wrote lyrics for over 4000 Filipino folk, Christmas, and love songs. He was proclaimed a Filipino National Artist for Music in 1997.

He attended the Academy of Music in Manila on a scholarship and went on to become the youngest member of the Manila Symphony Orchestra.

He was inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records for being the only person who could play music using a leaf.

He married Leonila Jose-Celerio and the pair had two daughters.

He appeared on The Merv Griffin Show where he showcased his leaf playing talent.
