ABOUT LEON LOEWENTRAUT

Painter and visual artist who is known for expressive-abstract style of painting. Often featuring excess of color and unique patterns inspired by the style of Jean-Michel Basquiat , he shares his paintings and works through Instagram for his over 1 million followers.

He first started painting at the age of 8. He started exhibiting his work in Munich in October of 2013. After several smaller shows, he started sharing his works through Instagram in June of 2014.

He has exhibited at several different galleries around the world including the Martin Asbaek Gallery in Kopenhagen, the Geuer & Geuer Gallery in Dusseldorf, the Puschkin Museum in St. Petersburg, and the Osthaus Museum in Hagen.

He was born and raised in Kaiserslautern but later settled in Dusseldorf. He originally started painting with his mother at a young age.

He shared a photo with fellow artist and fashion icon Philipp Plein to his Instagram in September of 2018.
