ABOUT LEO STAAR
Television and theater actor most well known for portraying Alec Jesmond in the popular BBC series Call the Midwife. He also provided the voice of Reza Temiz in the video game Dreamfall Chapters and appeared in the 2010 National Theater Live production of William Shakespeare 's Hamlet.
While in his second gap year following secondary school, his mother suggested he audition for the National Youth Theatre. He was accepted and later also graduated from The Guildford School of Acting.
In 2012, he appeared in several episodes of the Discovery channel series Dark Matters: Twisted But True.
His mother is a professional violinist and his father a professional French horn player. After their separation when he was eight, he and his sister lived with their mother.
He appeared alongside Vanessa Redgrave and Helen George on the BBC series Call the Midwife.
