ABOUT LEO CRUZ

WBA Super Bantamweight Champion from June 1982 to February 1984. He was also a World Jr. Featherweight Champion.

He moved to Puerto Rico in the early 70's, where his professional career got off to a successful start.

He retired in 1984 but made a comeback the following year and won one fight.

His brother, Carlos Cruz, is considered one of the greatest fighters ever to come out of the Dominican Republic.

He lost via 13th round knockout to world champion Wilfredo Gomez .
