ABOUT LAWRENCE BRAGG
Nobel prize winner Physicist and X-ray crystallographer. He discovered Bragg's law of X-ray diffraction and received the Nobel Prize in 1915. He is known for X-ray diffraction, X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray microscopy, Bubble raft, Bragg's law, Bragg-Gray cavity theory, and Bragg-Williams approximation.
He attended the University of Cambridge . He began studying mathematics, chemistry, and physics at the collegiate level when he was 16.
He was knighted by King George VI in 1941. He continues to be the youngest person in physics to have received the Nobel Prize at 25 years old.
He is from Adelaide, South Australia. His parents are William Henry Bragg and Gwendoline Todd. His sister is Gwendolen Bragg. His children are Stephen and Patience Mary Bragg. He married Alice Hopkinson in 1899.
He is related to television host Melvyn Bragg .
