Laura Serrant

ABOUT LAURA SERRANT

Author known for her academic books regarding physical health research. She specializes in sexual and reproductive health and has been the head of the nursing department at Manchester Metropolitan University since 2018.

She was one of the first nurses to qualify through a degree. She graduated from Sheffield City Polytechnic in 1986.

She has a passion for poetry and appeared on a radio show to discuss the influence of legendary poet Audre Lorde .

She was the first in her family to attend college.

She and Florence Nightingale have both gained fame for their progress made in the nursing industry.
