Japanese-born photographer known for creating an Instagram feed that features her sleeping infant daughter dressed in costumes. The account went viral after Netflix posted a picture of her daughter dressed as Barb from Stranger Things . In 2017, she published a book titled Naptime with Joey. She has amassed more than 480,000 followers on her lauraiz Instagram account.

She attended law school. She became interested in photography after a 2007 trip to Rwanda.

She worked as a lifestyle and wedding photographer in Southern California. The photos of her daughter were taken with an iPhone. She has dressed her daughter in costumes as Pikachu, Ariel, Jon Snow and the Statue of Liberty. The photos were meant to go in a baby book.

She married an optometrist named Allen Choi. Her daughter Joey Marie Choi was born on April 20, 2016. In 2018, she had a second daughter named Casey.

She and Lauren Beeston are both popular photographers who became famous on Instagram.
