She joined Team Canada and represented them at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia and won a gold medal.

She played college hockey at Cornell University.

She won gold at the 2012 IIHF World Women's Championships.

She was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Forward Hayley Wickenheiser was her teammate on the 2014 Olympic gold medalist women's hockey team.
