ABOUT LARRY BROWN
Prolific basketball coach who led 8 NBA teams into the playoffs, won the NCAA Championship with Kansas and won an NBA Championship with Detroit.
He played as a 5' 9' point guard at Long Beach High School, and then played at the University of North Carolina under coaches Frank McGuire and Dean Smith .
He became the first coach to ever win both an NCAA and NBA Championship.
He married Shelly Brown in 1993 and he has three daughters, Madison, Alli and Kristen, and a son, L.J. His parents were Ann and Milton Brown. After his father's death, his mother kept his passing a secret for a whole month.
