Former major league All-Star reliever who pitched six years in the majors and had a lifetime ERA of 4.15.

He was selected in the 21st round of the 1994 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals.

He was named to the 2003 AL All-Star team but did not make an appearance in the game.

His daughter Langley Ruth was born on February 8, 2005.

He was quite successful against Derek Jeter , holding the star shortstop to a .182 average.
