Internationally revered fashion and portrait photographer illustriously known for his work as a contributor to Harper's Bazaar, WSJ Magazine, and worldwide editions of Vogue. He has collaborated with couture front runners including Calvin Klein , Ralph Lauren , Michael Kors , and Jimmy Choo . Universally regarded as an industry tastemaker, his work has been praised for its unrivaled fusion of classic lure and contemporary elegance.

In August of 2018, he posted the story of his rise to distinction on his lachlanbailey Instagram account. He detailed his lengthy employment as an assistant to English photographer David Slijper, as well as the severe period of depression which nearly led to his resignation from photography forever. He also shared his photograph of a friend named Edward, which had been captured in his bedroom with only 3 lights, that changed his career forever and helped him land work with Arena Magazine, Streeters, Vogue Japan, and Louis Vuitton .

He joined forces with FRAME co-founder Erik Torstensson in 2021 to create the photography book Natasja in Colares. 100% of proceeds from the book's sales went toward a nature protection, rescue, education, and advocacy organization called Wildlife Victoria.

He resided in his home country of Australia before launching his career in London, England in 2001. He is the father of a daughter named Scarlett and a son named Oliver.

His timeless portraits, gracing the covers of countless magazines, have captured some of the fashion and entertainment industry's most beloved and iconic figures, including Brad Pitt for GQ Magazine, Margot Robbie for British Vogue, and Gisele Bündchen for Vanity Fair.
