ABOUT KYLE NELSON

Southpaw relief pitcher that was drafted by the Cleveland Guardians during the 15th round of the 2017 Major League Draft. He was later signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks in November 2021. He was originally drafted out of UC Santa Barbara .

He is a graduate of the Galileo Academy of Science and Technology. While there, he played both baseball and football.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Kansas City Royals on September 10, 2020 as a member of the Guardians. He only pitched in one game during his rookie season.

Growing up, he lived with his parents in San Francisco, California.

He was college teammates with Shane Bieber .
