ABOUT KYLE FUNKHOUSER

Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Detroit Tigers during the fourth round of the 2016 MLB Draft. Prior to being drafted, he attended the University of Louisville where he played college baseball for four seasons.

He began his professional career playing for Detroit's single-A affiliate the Connecticut Tigers.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Kansas City Royals on July 27, 2020.

He is a native of the Palos Heights, Illinois area. He grew up living with his parents, Dennis and Laura, and his two brothers.

He played alongside Derek Holland as a member of the Tigers during the 2021 MLB season.
