She earned her political science B.A. from the University of Florida in 2005. She later gained her government M.A. from The John's Hopkins University.
She has appeared as a political pundit on CNN's State of the Union and MSNBC's Morning Joe. She has prominently contributed to The Washington Examiner.
She married her husband Chris in 2012.
