Former starting pitcher who was the first pick in the 1996 MLB draft and went on to have a nine-year big league career, going 70-75 with a 4.42 ERA.

He played college baseball at Clemson University.

His best MLB season came in 2000 when he posted a 3.85 ERA with 184 strikeouts in 217.2 innings.

His ex-wife Anna was arrested after storming into Kris' home with a gun and knife and demanding $30,000.

He hit his only big league home run off dominant Cy Young-winner Pedro Martinez .
