Kostas Vaxevanis
ABOUT KOSTAS VAXEVANIS
Greek journalist and editor who is best recognized for his work as owner and editor of the magazine Hot Doc. He is also known for his work as a journalist on television for the networks NET and MEGA where he covers a variety of world affairs.
He first founded and started his fortnightly publication Hot Doc in April of 2012. Within a few months, he was arrested for publishing sensitive tax information and personal data. Within the trails same day, he was acquitted.
He is known for having won the VII Julio A. Parrado Journalism award as well as the Index on Censorship Journalism Award in 2013.
He was born and raised in Athens, Greece.
