Professional catcher that was drafted by the Houston Astros during the first round of the 2019 Major League Draft. He was originally drafted out of UC Berkeley . He was a member of the 2022 Houston Astros team that defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series.

He played college baseball at UC Berkeley for three years. During his junior season, he was named a member of the first team All-Pac-12.

He made his major league debut playing against the Los Angeles Angels on July 1, 2022. He finished the game 0 for 1.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Escondido, California. He is one of three siblings.

He played alongside Trey Mancini and José Altuve during the 2022 World Series.
