Professional infielder and utilityman that was drafted by the Detroit Tigers during the third round of the 2018 MLB Draft. During his junior season at the University of Texas , he was selected as a first team All-American. He was also named the Big 12 Conference Player of the Year his junior season.

He is a graduate of Memorial High School in Houston, Texas. He recorded a .553 batting average during his senior year.

He earned his first career major league striketout facing Shohei Ohtani on September 6, 2022. The year prior, Shohei Ohtani was named the American League Most Value Player.

He is the son of Major League Hall-of-Famer Roger Clemens . His brothers, Kacy and Koby, are also professional baseball players. Additionally, he has an older brother named Kory. He is engaged to Jessica Butterfield; they are set to marry in November of 2023.

He recorded his first career major league hit facing Lance Lynn .
