Former MLB catcher, outfielder, and manager, playing from 1878 to 1893.
He began his professional baseball career in 1878 with the Cincinnati Reds.
He won 2 National League batting titles in 1884 and 1886.
He was the son of Catherine and Michael Kelly Sr.
He played baseball in the same era as hall-of-famer Cap Anson .
