He began performing at the age of two and started reading at the age of three. He played football at the University of Southern California.
His voice acting credits include roles in Happy Feet and The Little Engine That Could.
He was born in Oakland, California, and grew up with a younger sister, Aniela, and an older brother, De'Von Flournoy.
He appeared alongside Eddie Murphy in the 2003 comedic film Daddy Day Care.
