ABOUT KEVIN BLACKISTONE

Sports journalist most famous for his appearances on the ESPN debate show Around the Horn. He has also served as a sports journalism professor at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland .

He grew up in Hyattsville, Maryland and attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. He later graduated from Northwestern University .

He covered Nelson Mandela 's tour of the United States in 1990.

His father was a community activist in Maryland.

He has appeared alongside Tony Reali on Around the Horn.
