Famous for his motorcycle-themed writing, this British journalist penned numerous articles for Motor Cycle News and The Daily Telegraph. Tragically, he died in a motorcycle accident at the age of fifty-three.
After pursuing a degree in engineering at Imperial College London, he worked as a motorcycle messenger and sidecar racer.
His full-length published works include The New Illustrated Encyclopedia of Motorcycles and Bikes of the Millennium.
His marriage to Dutchwoman Caroline Quanjer resulted in daughters named Ingrid, Kirsten, and Laurien.
He and Sonny Barger both rose to fame for writing about motorcycles.
