ABOUT KENNY BURRELL
Jazz guitarist who released the 1963 album Midnight Blue and who collaborated with Jimmy Smith for many sessions.
He made his recording debut in a group led by Dizzy Gillespie .
In 1996 he became the Director of Jazz Studies at UCLA.
He was born into a musical family.
One of his earliest influences was the musician Django Reinhardt .
