ABOUT KATELYN VAHA'AKOLO

New Zealand professional rugby player who is known for playing for the Kiwi Ferns in the 2021 Women's Rugby League World Cup and for the Newcastle Knights in the NRL Women's Premiership. She is also known for joining the Blues rugby team in the year 2023.

She was inspired to play rugby at a young age because her older brother played rugby. She started her professional rugby career by playing for the Kiwi Ferns.

She has Māori and Tongan heritage, and she speaks both languages. She won the World Rugby's Women's 15s Breakthrough Player of the Year in November. She enjoys dancing and singing when she's not out on the field playing or honing her skills. She stands 5'4" tall.
