ABOUT KARI LIZER

Most famous for producing and writing the five-season, multi-Emmy-nominated sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine, she is also known for her work on Will & Grace, Maggie Winters, and Benders.

Early in her career, she wrote fourteen episodes of the USA Network series Weird Science.

An actress as well as a television writer and producer, she appeared in episodes of Quantum Leap, Matlock, and The Van Dyke Show, and also guest-starred on five episodes of Will & Grace.

She was born and raised in San Diego, California. Her marriage to fellow entertainer Robert Romanus produced three children before ending in divorce.

When her series The New Adventures of Old Christine, starring former Seinfeld actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus , was canceled in 2010, Lizer accused CBS executives of dropping the female-centric show for sexist reasons.
