ABOUT KAMAUU

Rapper, artist, YouTube star, online content creator, social media personality, musician, entertainer, performer, vocalist, and poet who made an impact with a guest appearance on "Queen" from No Wyld's 2015 Ascension EP.  His popular tracks include "Jambo," "clover," "bamboo," "flings", and "antidote."

He studied at Ujamaa Shule in Washington here he learned traditional African instruments like the djembe.

He recorded song covers including OutKast 's "Hey Ya! and Adele 's "Hometown Glory." His EPs include A Gorgeous Fortune and TheKAMAUU-CASSETTE: MíXD GRēēNS. His music has featured on soundtracks including the 2016 film The Birth of a Nation. He has amassed more than 260,000 subscribers on his KAMAUU YouTube channel.

His father collected records and art from around the world. He has two siblings.

His 2016 single "Jusfayu" was featured on an episode of Insecure starring Issa Rae .
