ABOUT JUSTIN MARTINEZ

Right-handed pitcher that was originally signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks as an international prospect in 2018. A few years later, he was named the Diamondbacks' 24th best MLB prospect following the 2022 regular season.

He initially began his professional career playing for the DSL Diamondbacks. He was only 16 years old at the time of his signing.

He pitched in a career-high 20 games during the 2022 minor league season. In 38 innings pitched, he collected 62 strikeouts while only allowing an .227 opponent batting average.

He grew up living with his family in the Bonao, Dominican Republic area.

He was named one of the Diamondbacks top 100 MLB prospects in 2022 just like Corbin Carroll .
