ABOUT JUSEPE DE RIBERA
Spanish Tenebrist painter and printmaker who was called Lo Spagnoletto and was known as a leading painter of the Spanish school.
He studied art in Rome, Italy in the early 1600s.
His most distinguished followers were Salvator Rosa and Luca Giordano.
He married Caterina Azzolino in 1616 and had a daughter.
Another Spanish painter like him was Jose Aparicio .
