Blues guitarist who was a longtime associate of R.L. Burnside and became known for his songs "Keep Your Hands Off Her" and "All Night Long."
He began playing the guitar while growing up in the North Mississippi Hill Country.
The phrase "the beginning and end of all music" was written on his tombstone.
When he died, his label's website claimed he had 36 children.
Iggy Pop played a song titled "Sunday Nights: The Songs of Junior Kimbrough" on his 2005 tribute album.
