ABOUT JULIO RODRIGUEZ

Professional center fielder and MLB phenom best known as J-Rod. During his rookie season, he was selected to play in the 2022 Major League All-Star Game and Home Run Derby as a member of the Seattle Mariners . He was named the 2022 American League Rookie of the Year.

He signed his first professional contract with the Mariners at the age of 16. The following year, he began his career playing for the DSL Mariners.

On September 14, 2022, he became the first player in major league history to record 25 home runs and 25 stolen bases in their rookie season. He is also the sixth rookie in the Mariners' franchise history to play in an all-star game. His sports fame has led him to amass more than 490,000 followers on his baseball-centered jrodshow44 Instagram page.

He grew up living with his family in Loma de Cabrera, Dominican Republic. He started dating soccer player Jordyn Huitema in 2022. In 2024, it was speculated that they had broken up.

He lost to Juan Soto during the championship round of the 2022 Major League Home Run Derby.
