ABOUT JULIO CéSAR CHáVEZ

Six-time world champion across three different weight divisions who was one of the greatest boxers to come out of Mexico.

He grew up in an abandoned railroad car; he made his professional wrestling debut at age 17.

In 2010 he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

He married Amalia Carrasco and he has two sons who became professional boxers, Omar Chávez and former WBC Middleweight Champion Julio Jr

He lost to Oscar de la Hoya twice due to cuts on his face.
