Juan David Yepez

ABOUT JUAN DAVID YEPEZ

Professional left fielder and first baseman that originally began his career playing in the Atlanta Braves minor league system. He was later acquired by the St. Louis Cardinals via trade in May 2017. He was named the Cardinals' Minor League Player of the Year following the 2021 regular season.

He initially began his professional career playing for the GCL Braves rookie affiliate team. He was then promoted to the Danville Braves

He made his official major league debut playing against the Kansas City Royals on May 4, 2022 as a member of the Cardinals. He recorded back-to-back doubles in his first two MLB at-bats, becoming the first player in franchise history to do so.

He was born to parents Maria Eugenia Avarez and Omar Yepez Sr.

He played alongside Paul Goldschmidt and Jordan Hicks as members of the Cardinals during the 2022 MLB regular season.
