ABOUT JOYCE HILL
Played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League for five teams from 1945 to 1952.
She didn't play high school sports because none were available to girls, so she honed her skills in a county softball league.
She won a league championship in her final season, with the South Bend Blue Sox.
She raised two daughters, Janet and Judy.
She appeared in the end of "A League of Their Own," starring Geena Davis , a movie about the formation of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League.
