ABOUT JOSH STEIN

He got his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in 1988 and went on to Harvard University for law school. One of his first political jobs was as John Edwards campaign manager 1998 senate run.

Before becoming governor, he was a member of the North Carolina Senate and Attorney General. Some of his most important initiatives were to expand North Carolina's DNA database and improve school safety.

His parents are Jane and Adam. He is married to Anna Harris, and they have three children, Adam, Sam, and Leah.
