American journalist and a founder of The Newspaper Guild who covered some of the most important events of the '20s and '30s.
He served as a Lieutenant in World War I prior to starting his career as a journalist.
He covered the Lindbergh kidnapping in 1932 for the New York Post.
He married Mary Carter Carson in 1928.
He was friendly with member of the famed Algonquin Round Table, which included playwright Marc Connelly .
