ABOUT JOSE BARRERO

Professional infielder that was signed by the Cincinnati Reds as an international free agent in June 2017. He began his professional career playing for the Reds' single-A affiliate team the Dayton Dragons.

Prior to playing in the major leagues, he played in the Cuban National Series for the Industriales.

He made his major league debut playing against the Milwaukee Brewers on August 27, 2020.

He is a native of Havana, Cuba.

He played alongside Michael Lorenzen as a member of the Reds during the 2021 MLB season.
