Shortstop who made his MLB debut for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2012 and represented the United States in the Pan American Games.

He was All-State at Taloga High School in Oklahoma.

He was a shortstop and closer for the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

He was born and raised in Taloga, Oklahoma.

He and steady defensive shortstop Clint Barmes both joined the Pirates in 2012.
