Right-handed reliever known for a heavy fastball and strange hop in his delivery, he joined the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2010 and was an All-Star in 2011.

He attended Mansfield High School in Texas.

He played baseball at Grayson County College.

He was born in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mike Scioscia was his manager on the Angels.
