ABOUT JORDAN HICKS

Professional reliever that was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals during the third round of the 2015 MLB Draft. He is best known for his explosive fastball that generally averages over 100mph.

He was drafted out of Cypress Creek High School in Houston, Texas. Had he not been drafted, he planned on playing college baseball at Tulane University .

On May 20, 2018 he tied Aroldis Chapman 's MLB record for the fastest fastball ever thrown. Both he and Chapman's fatest pitched was clocked at 105.1 miles per hour.

He is a native of the Houston, Texas area. He was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in high school.

Growing up, he credited Lance Berkman and Craig Biggio as being some of his biggest baseball influences.
