ABOUT JONATHAN ARANDA

Professional second baseman and middle infielder that was first signed by the Tampa Bay Rays as an international free agent in 2015. He was named MVP of the International League in 2022 while playing for the Durham Bulls.

He initially began his professional career playing for the DSL Rays. He played in 49 games with the team before being promoted.

He made his official major league debut playing against the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 24, 2022. He finished the game hitting 1 for 2.

Growing up, he lived with his family in the Tijuana, Mexico area.

He played alongside Yandy Diaz and Randy Arozarena during his MLB debut.
