ABOUT JOHNNY BUFF
World Bantamweight Champion in 1922 who recorded wins over such prominent boxers as Abe Goldstein, Tommy Gorman and Charles Ledoux.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy twice and served in World War I.
He retired with a professional boxing record of 35 wins, 7 losses, and 5 draws.
He had three sons, Jimmy, Johnny, and Theresa, with Elizabeth Lisky.
He is the grandfather of ring announcer Michael Buffer .
