John Wisdom
ABOUT JOHN WISDOM
Renowned British ordinary language philosopher, metaphysician, and a philosopher of mind.
He worked at the National Institute of Industrial Psychology.
He originated the Parable of the Invisible Gardener. His article Philosophical Perplexity was regarded with great respect.
He was married to Pamela Wisdom and together they had a son. His cousin was psychoanalytical philosopher John Oulton Wisdom.
He wrote works that were influenced by the philosophies of Ludwig Wittgenstein , G.E. Moore, and Sigmund Freud.
