ABOUT JOHN BERNARD RILEY
Jazz drummer and educator who has performed with Miles Davis and Woody Herman .
His parents were very supportive of his early love of drums, getting him a snare when he was eight years old. He later attended the University of North Texas College of Music in the 1970s.
He played drums for the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra.
He grew up in Aberdeen, Maryland.
He has collaborated Stan Getz .
