ABOUT JOHN MACLEOD
Head coach in the NCAA and the NBA who coached teams such as the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, and New York Knicks. He was also a 1981 NBA All-Star game head coach.
He attended Bellarmine University.
He coached college basketball, serving as the head coach at Oklahoma and Notre Dame. He was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2005.
He was born in New Albany, Indiana. He was married to Carol Macleod up until his death in 2019. He died from complications with Alzheimer's disease.
Hall-of-Famer Patrick Ewing played for him on the Knicks.
