ABOUT JOHN E. DOUGLAS
One of the first criminal profilers who worked as a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and wrote several criminal psychology texts.
He earned a PhD from Nova Southeastern University that specialized in educating police officers to classify homicides.
He has interviewed several infamous criminals such as Ted Bundy , Gacy , and Charles Manson .
He was born in Brooklyn and studied his undergrad at Eastern New Mexico University.
Thomas Harris , author of the Hannibal series, used him as a model for his major character Jack Crawford in a couple of his books.
